Daybreakers.  Just..Daybreakers.
THIS is the movie I needed to get rid of the increasingly bitter memory of Avatar (seriously people, it's just Pocahontas without the songs.  Actually, it probably would have been a ton better if the main character's monotonous voice-over during the 'gathering the clans for war' scene had been replaced with Savages).

Just..everything about this movie was just so very, very satisfying.   I'm almost glad that Nine wasn't playing anymore.

This was just procrastination really.  I need to work on some things for Goddamn Bats, so of course, I draw everything else.

For the record,
Things I should be working on;
1. Character designs (the villains, the heroes, minor characters, the engineer priests)
2. Vehicle designs (Nel's car and the monorail specifically)
3. City designs for Vector (Yeah, the entire comic is set mostly in one, and I have no idea what the place looks like)
4. Layouts for the villain's lair
5. World map

It's kind of sad that I actually don't remember much about Avatar at all.  I mean, yes, it was pretty.  Very, very pretty.  But so are most of my video games, and they still manage to do it while having plot and likable characters. 
I really don't remember the plot at all. 
Although I do have a powerful urge to buy the artbook, and any action figures of the monkeydogs or snake-wolf thing should they come out.

And Avatar comes out today.  Yes, that thing with the blue aliens and floating rock and giant awesome creatures and dragon-riding and powered armour JUSTPUSHALLMYBUTTONSWHYDON'TYOUThere are no words to describe how much I want to see this.  But no theaters are playing it here at any time I can go too.  And blue alien Pocahontas is not enough to make me want to walk home through my neighborhood at night. .__.

I should be less happy about this, what with needing around $9000 and being..technically the sole wage earner but..meh. Minimum wage job. If I really, absolutely can't get a security job now, then I at least have some experience to get another restaurant job.

Ahhh..I'm so tired of filling out security guard applications.

I hate posting two depressed whiny journals in less then a week, but I seriously seem to be in the habit of running across dead or dying animals every time I go into the woods. Seriously, nature, I'm out there trying to find some bloody inner peace, I do NOT need to see the bloody half-dead raccoons!

I mean, it's not like I could have done anything. I don't know where any wildlife clinics are, and it's not like I have a car or a box to put it in, or even gloves to pick it up with, or even a sweater to grab it. Ok, sure, I could have used my coat, but it's a nice coat, and I just bought it and blood is just impossible to get out and I really can't afford a new coat right now and even if I DID wrap it up in my coat it's not like they allow terrified rodent..things..on the bus. And sure there was other people walking around, but..uh.. I guess this proves that in a life-or-death matter, I will let something die before I willingly talk to another human being.

...Sometimes I wonder just when I went from Friend to All Living Thing to the person that chases stray cats out of their yard and lets raccoons die in the forest.

Why is it that the day it rains all day is the busiest day of the week? Just..there was so much running around, and doing that annoying fast-walking, and sharp turns that really hurt after awhile and carrying stuff (the tables keep getting dirty! No matter how many I clean they just get dirty again!) and at one point I was so tired I couldn't lift a water glass over my head. A water glass!

And I've got the least amount of work to do at this place.

God I hate restaurant jobs.

Haaahh I have no idea what to use this journal for, but until I figure it out, have random art.
